Physics Roller Coaster Lesson 2 of 4
This is the second lesson in a four part roller coaster project for 6th grade. In this lesson, students will learn about friction and gravity. Students will test different materials to determine which material will best slow down a marble in a roller coaster track. Students will record their data and observations in the provided roller coaster journal.

In this set of hands-on labs, students will explore friction and the effects of different types of surfaces on motion. They will have a chance to test motion with cars as well as create hover board
Today we will engineer air powered rockets. To do this we will: Watch a video and note the shape of rockets and learn about countdown and liftoff Name shapes as we brainstorm and sketch plans Build
In this hands-on lesson, students will plan, build and create a roller coaster from random materials that a Ping Pong ball can travel through. Students engage in the engineering design process as they
