Phoenix Reimagined: From Sun City to Solar City
by Priti Mehta
Lesson "Phoenix Reimagined: From Sun City to Solar City" ensures that students engage in age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences that promote understanding of solar energy and its applications. Students design and build a model city powered by the sun! They learn about the benefits of solar power, and how architectural and building engineers integrate photovoltaic panels into the design of buildings. This lesson plan encourages students to think critically about sustainable urban design and the integration of renewable energy sources while meeting Arizona Science Standards.
