Introduction to Scientific Inquiry: Slushy Time!
Using rock salt, ice, juice, and thermometers, students will use their inquiry framework to investigate how slushies are made and see if they are able to replicate the results of a traditional slushy. Students will need access to a variety of materials, cups, and liquids to test out how energy (heat) transfers between objects and evaluate scientific data on different materials.

Introduction to how a solar panel works. Students get to explore how to power a fan and lights using a solar panel and a motor. Students get to see a diagram of a solar panel and start to make a model
The students design and test a catapult using simple materials like popsicle sticks and rubber bands. They learn about the history of catapults and also about the physical science concepts related to
In this lesson, students use their knowledge of electric power to design a model circuit that expends less electrical power. They do this by using the PhET Circuit Construction Kit: DC and they may
