Apache Skies: Mastering Parachute Design and Engineering
by Jeniffer Madrid
The Parachute design lesson involves students learning about the engineering design process, air resistance, and parachute principles before planning and constructing their own parachutes. Through collaborative group work, students will create designs under constraints followed by testing their parachutes to observe its descent. After analyzing the results, students will engage in a reflective discussion and evaluating and improving their designs based on group suggestions.
