Waiting to Exhale: The Respiratory System
Included are multiple-day Respiratory System lessons that cover the anatomical design of the respiratory system. Students will work on a basic model project to simulate breathing action and the diaphragm. They will also learn about the muscles of the respiratory system and conduct an activity with spirometers to model lung capacity data.

Students will expand their knowledge of Newton's laws while building, launching and changing the design of paper rockets. This design and modeling exercise by JPL/NASA starts students off with a
In this engineering design activity lesson, students will first learn about Civil Engineers. Then, students will be given an engineering challenge to design a tower with specific constraints. They are
Engineers often create small-size models of a new product to test its design. This is especially true with airplanes. Model testing tells engineers how a design responds to different air conditions
