Studying & Enhancing Bat Populations in Sierra Vista, AZ
by Wendy Mehl
This is a 6-week lesson plan for high school students designed to measure and then increase the bat population in the field behind our school. This can be used in any area where bats populate, as long as the land is yours or you get permission from the landowner (this is also a great way to look at the ethical, social, economic and political aspects of this project).
