Rocket Launch Pre-Calculus
In this engaging lesson, students build a model rocket. They design an experimental procedure based on their understanding of the forces acting on the rocket. They predict values using a flight simulator. Using the experimental data collected at the launch, they are able to calculate the initial velocity of the rocket and break it into its components. They are also able to compare the experimental value to that predicted by the simulator.
