Paper Plane Aerodynamics
In the 5th-grade Paper Plane Aerodynamics lesson, students embark on an exciting journey into the world of flight. Through hands-on activities, they explore the fundamental principles of aerodynamics, learning about lift, drag, gravity, and thrust. Guided by Arizona State STEM standards, they design and construct paper airplanes, test their flight capabilities, and make modifications to improve performance. This engaging lesson fosters a deep understanding of aerodynamics while honing essential skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students not only create and innovate but also gain insights into the physics behind flight, all while having a blast with their paper planes.
