Mini Straw Rockets

In this engaging kindergarten lesson, students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of rockets. They will learn about the basic principles of how rockets work and explore their components, such as the body, fins, and nose cone. Through hands-on activities, students will design and construct their own mini straw rockets using simple materials like straws, paper, and tape.
The highlight of the lesson is the rocket launch event, where students will test their creations and measure how far they travel. This activity not only introduces concepts of force and motion but also incorporates math skills as students measure distances and compare results. By reflecting on their designs and launches, students will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
