Magnetic Track Dark Ride Lesson 1 of 4: Planning a Ride
This is a four-part lesson that will guide students in groups to create a trackless dark ride. A dark ride is a ride where engineers utilize characters, scenes, and music to tell a story to the rider. This ride we will be watching is a new technology called a trackless ride. A trackless ride is a ride that uses magnets under the vehicle the rider is in and magnets in the flooring to create the path they want the rider to move on.
Throughout these four lessons, students will:
Lesson 1: Develop a ride concept and create a storyboard
Lesson 2: Design a track blueprint for their ride
Lesson 3: Design a ride vehicle blueprint
Lesson 4: Test their track blueprint (from lesson 2) with magnets

In this exciting lesson, students will use the engineering design process to devise an alternative method for retrieving the shield of Ares from Hephaestus' trap, as depicted in Chapter 15 of "Percy
In this lesson students will be creating a geometric design to create a stained-glass window. They will then assemble the window with pretzel rods, royal icing and melted Jolly Ranchers. Students can
