Green Innovations: Designing a Sustainable Future- Part 1

This is the 1st lesson in a series of 3. Lesson 2 & 3 are linked in the speaker notes.
6th-grade students will work in groups to create eco-friendly inventions that help the environment and tackle climate change. They will research ideas, make prototypes, and calculate the costs of their inventions.
Students will also create persuasive commercials to promote their inventions and present their creations to parents at a showcase event. The project integrates math, science, engineering, and language arts skills.
This lesson covers weeks 1 and 2 focusing on age-appropriate research and ideation.
