Students will create their own cookie cutters to fill a custom order in their bakery. They will need access to 3D design software like Tinkercad and access to a 3D printer. It's even more fun when you cut and bake cookies together. The students will draw models of their cookie cutter, design it using 3D software, then adjust measurements to keep it within the constraints of the order, and finally print a cookie cutter using a 3D printer and PLA filament.

Students work together to measure the lengths and angles of a maze in order to create a scale drawing of it. They then use EdScratch to program their Edison robots to navigate the maze.

This engaging lesson is all about scale factor. Students will draw different items to scale. There is a Three Act Math, a DESMOS activity, and a Quizizz link to go along with the lesson!
