An Amazing Race
Students utilize the Engineering Design Process to create a sailboat!
Students must design and build a sailboat that will get them from one end of the channel where they are stranded to the other. It is like the Amazing Race for STEM! This activity incorporates concepts of matter being made up of particles too small to see, forces and motion with an emphasis on buoyancy, and 3 ELA standards.
