Zombie Pumpkins
by Tonya Page
This lesson incorporates Math, Science and Reading standards into a pumpkin themed third grade lesson. Students will use a mentor text to relate to the life cycle of a pumpkin, create, compare and contrast as well as draw conclusions from analyzing multiple relevant visual displays of data and graphs. Students will be able to watch Science happening right before their eyes as the pumpkins decompose over the winter and regrow into new 'Zombie Pumpkins' through a natural life cycle.
