Sand and the Second Law of Motion
by Dee Dee Palmer
In this lesson students will be exploring the ball drop phenomenon in order to gain an understanding of Newton's second law of motion. Students will observe the phenomenon demonstration and then create their own investigation using their own parameters. Students will read an explanation about Newton's second law of motion and then will draw and diagram a model of their investigation and construct an explanation.
