Plant Growth and Gardening Part 2: Elements for Plant Survival and Planting a Garden
by Patricia Mendez
Through the use of the Read Aloud, "Up in the Garden and Down by the Dirt" by Kate Messner, students will learn about all the elements that make up a garden. Students will also plant a seed into a planter or in a garden and write their observations of their plant's growth in their science journals. Students will use measurement skills through the use of rulers. This will be a great opportunity to practice their graphing skills to share their findings with their classmates.
