Use a dichotomous key to identify bones of prey species found in an owl pellet.

card stock
tape
marker for labeling

Owl Pellet Dissection Procedure
Make copies of the Owl Pellet Dissection Procedure and Dichotomous Key.
Gather materials and set up students’ workstations.
Complete dissection and identification.
Tape to cardstock.
