Newton's First Law - Inertia
This lesson introduces the first law of motion to students through inquiry and total physical response. Materials needed are Short videos of first-law examples, with no labels or explanations, Pictures of the first law, with no labels or explanations (for teacher and one copy for each student), Markers, pencils, or colored pencils, Chart paper per group, Recording Devices for student groups, To share videos create a shared drive for students to upload videos
*If students have limited access to technology have them create posters instead of videos

This lesson plan focuses on the use of several materials to create a rocket and a launcher. Remodel the rocket as needed to validate Newton’s third law of motion and projectile motion.
In this lesson, students will learn about projectile motion and the factors that affect it by designing and building a simple catapult. Through hands-on experimentation, students will investigate how
Students will be creating their own arcade games with recycled materials. One idea can change the world! During this activity students will be going through the engineering design process.
