KIDStruction: STEM Opportunity for Middle School Students: Part 1
by Julie Venglarcik
This STEAM lesson is ideal for Tucson/Pima County Middle School Students who can participate in the annual KIDStruction building contest, but you can also duplicate many of the learning opportunities in other school settings. This is perfect for a self-contained classroom or after school club setting and the emphasis in this first lesson is on the introductory design phase of a project using design, scale, construction, and documentation to enter an exciting contest with an audience for student work.
