Just a Second Geological Time Scale
by Katherine Otwell
Students read the story "Just a Second" to introduce students to geologic time. Next, they are given an activity to understand how long is 4.6 billion years. Then students complete a lab that allows them how to piece together the clues that geologists often face when learning about Earth's past. Last, students are given pieces of evidence and two differing opinions about what happened in Earth's past and must complete a CER.
