Illusion of Balance: Crafting Tensegrity Marvels

No votes have been submitted yet.

This lesson plan is about structures that are balanced using tension forces. Students will create their own tensegrity structure that will withstand a predetermined amount of weight. Students will document their process. There should be an emphasis on traditional methods of constructing structures and modern methods using the idea of contact forces.
This is a hands-on project that focuses on trial and error in design of a structure.
