Formula 1 to co2 Dragsters

Are your students fans of Formula 1? If they are or aren't this lesson will take a look into the dominance of Red Bull Racing in Formula 1. Why is Red Bull so dominant? Is it the driver or the engineers? These are all questions that will be answered in this lesson as students go through the Engineering Design Process as they build their very own co2 dragster inspired by the engineering team at Red Bull Racing. Students will be using the co2 dragster starter kit from Pitsco Education to bring their race car to life. Disclaimer: This was an expensive project but it is one that I will have in my class for years to come. The students had a blast completing this project and the students got so much out of this project. As a teacher this will be a staple going forward and I have loved teaching engineering with the co2 dragsters. I would highly recommend the Pitsco Education co2 dragster starter pack for every STEM/MAKERSPACE/Engineering class. This lesson was made possible by Maggie Fernando "co2 Cars for Racing." She was amazing helping me along every step of the way as I purchased the kits, rollout for students and how i delivered my lessons. I would not have been able to do this project without her guidance. My students were obsessed with F1 so I wanted to put an F1 twist on this lesson and introduce students to Formula 1 Racing who had never heard of it through the Engineering Design Process and a hands on learning experience they would never forget.
