How Clean is Clean Enough?: Engineering an Air Filter

1 votes with an average rating of 1.

In this unit, students will study the effects of air pollution and engineer an environmentally friendly air filter to reduce pollutants in the air using common household items and recycled materials. They will then record a commercial advertisement to "sell" their prototype that includes a claim based on evidence. This unit ideally requires four to five days for full implementation, but includes accommodations for a two day simulation.
