Helping Communities with 3D Printing

1 votes with an average rating of 1.

This lesson will allow students to learn more about 3D printing design and the engineering process. Students will brainstorm different needs in their community and people who could benefit from something printed on a 3D printer. After deciding on a few projects, groups will use Tinkercad to design objects to be printed on a 3D printer and use the engineering process to create more than one prototype. Finally, students will review other groups' projects and reflect on how well the 3D printed item solves a community problem or fills a need.
