Engineering Safer Roads: Using Robotics to Prevent Wrong-Way Driving in Arizona
by Huda Clemens
In this cross-curricular STEM lesson, students tackle the real-world issue of wrong-way drivers in Arizona by applying the Engineering Design Process and using robotics. Working in teams, students research the causes of wrong-way driving, then design, build, and code a robotic system that can detect or prevent vehicles from entering a road incorrectly.
