Egg Drop Landers
Students design and test a device for an egg drop in this engaging and hands-on lesson. They will document their data, make modifications to designs, and assess what the outcome is of their own drop while reflecting on concepts and ideas.
This lesson plan can be adapted to grades 6-8th (possibly younger as well)!

Students learn the history of rocketry, and the science behind rockets, and then design, build, and launch bottle rockets with compressed air and water.
Students will study car barrier engineering in this lesson. They will study how Newton’s Second Law of motion can be applied to determine how to decrease the force of impact during a collision. They
Students will construct a straw rocket launcher that utilizes air pressure as the force to push the rocket through the air. A STEM journal will guide them through planning an investigation. Students
