The Effects of Payload Mass on a Rocket
Students will construct a rocket by exploring the relationship of the mass in the nose cone to the success of a launch. Students will learn about "center of mass' and how to find it, as well as the effects drag has on the rocket's stability. Students will try different weights inside of the cone, each time launching them into the sky. In the end, the students will be able to communicate how the weight of the nose cone impacts the motion of the rocket.

In this hands-on lesson, students build small-scale wind-powered cars. They construct an understanding that energy is transferred from the wind to the sail car. Students explain how they used
In this activity, students read about discovering energy and the impact encountered by ships at sea. Students will have the opportunity to read about how lighthouses can solve those problems and
Students will brainstorm, and make predictions of why an airplane can fly. The teacher will present the knowledge of aerodynamics to the students using video , and giving them opportunity to process
