Cycling of Matter through Earth's Spheres
by Jamie Rapkiewcz
Students will learn about the atmosphere and what causes it to form layers. Then, students will identify how the atmosphere interacts with the geosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere. Students design an investigation and use equipment to collect evidence and determine if the hydrosphere cycles through the geosphere. Students will analyze pictures of various locations in Arizona and draw a model to show how matter cycles and energy flows back and forth through the spheres.
