Building a Dream Playground in a Minecraft World!
by Arlette Johnson
This lesson has students work collaboratively to discuss and plan the “perfect playground”. Once they have a vision of the “perfect playground”, they draw a diagram of their playground on graph paper. Students calculate the length and width of the items in their playground, then they create a 3D model of their playground using computer aided design (CAD) on Tinkercad. At the conclusion of this exciting lesson, students transform their playground model to fit inside a Minecraft world.
