Break it Down to Build it Up: Using Large Building Bricks to Practice Computational Thinking

Students use large building bricks to practice computational thinking, direction giving and being specific in those directions. This lesson can be completed in one 30-45 minute class session. This is a great "unplugged" lesson to use during a computer science coding unit. As students work together they will see the importance of a common language or vocabulary so their builds are closer to matching instead of far off from each other.
