Bee Kind to Bees
by Laura George
This lesson will explore how bees are essential to plant life and, therefore, human life. Students will learn about how social bees work together. They will also investigate why some bee populations are declining. Students will identify how the class might use our school garden to help. Finally, students will work in small groups to design and construct a bee drinking station.
*Note: The book, A Bee’s Difficult Search for Food by Mary Ellen Klukow, is an important part of this lesson and available on getepic.com
