AZ Nuclear Repository Analysis
by Arianna Johnson
This lesson allows students to conduct an interesting research project about Arizona's nuclear power plant, Palo Verde Generating Station, and its waste management practices today. This leads to discussions on what effects nuclear waste has on our environment and what we will do when their methods of disposal do not work anymore. Students will express their own opinions about this whole experience and will work together to design a solution to a global problem that will fall on their shoulders someday.
