What is a Worm's Energy Role in an Ecosystem?
by Lydia Carlson
Students create mini compost bins with Red Wigglers to assign an energy role to the worms. Students build the worm bin, and then collect data for several weeks so that they can learn hands-on what decomposition looks like while having some fun with worms. They graph the change in temperature and make sense of the observations they have made, then write a CER based on their findings.
