Urbanization Impacts: Part 2 of 2
by Candice Nelson
This lesson builds on the Part 1 of Urbanization Impacts in the HS Environmental Science classroom. In this lesson, students are utilizing their knowledge to create models of solutions to the environmental drawbacks caused by Urbanization. Habitat loss and fragmentation, impacts to carbon and water cycles are real-world problems urban planners and engineers are facing. Case studies and finding engineering processes to solve these problems is the focus of this lesson and culminating activity of designing a sustainable utopia!
