Simple Machines Save the Day
In this lesson students read about simple machines and learn that simple machines make it easier to lift or move things and that they can change direction and magnitude of force. Students use Legos to
Understand geometric concepts such as shapes, angles, and symmetry. Apply engineering and design principles to create structures using Magna-Tiles. Develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Students will use engineering skills, critical thinking, math and balance, and collaboration to build a home for a visiting Hedgehog. The materials are straws, string, wooden blocks, material/fabric
