Stop Motion on How Natural and Human-Caused Changes Can Impact Our World
In this outstanding lesson, students will apply their knowledge of how natural and human-caused changes to habitats or climate can impact our world in a stop motion film. The lesson covers a Science and Social Studies standard for 5th grade but could be modified for 6-8th. It also covers two technology standards and engineering practices. Included are a student planning guide, resources for stop motion and the engineering design process, along with a rubric for assessment. Stop Motion promotes teamwork and collaboration as students work together to plan and create their project. It encourages critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills, all while having fun!
