Spinning Planet Rocket Launch
Nothing in space stands still. Everything either orbits around something else, or moves toward or away from something else. So how do space engineers aim a spacecraft so it lands on Mars or meets up with a particular comet or asteroid? Students will be exploring how space engineers know how to launch.

I can use the engineering process to create a shock absorbing system that will protect two “astronauts” in a lander as it is dropped from various heights on the moon.
Students will read the novel, "The Lion of Mars", design & launch paper rockets, and then design a sustainable Mars Colony inspired by the novel. This hands-on lesson is scheduled to take around 15
Students design and test a device for an egg drop in this engaging and hands-on lesson. They will document their data, make modifications to designs, and assess what the outcome is of their own drop
