Salt vs Sugar Electrophoresis Inquiry lab
by Miranda Thornton
This lesson plan helps students to use inquiry to develop a lab to test salt vs sugar solutions in how far they will travel through the gel. Inquiry labs are great for those who like to be creative and also to encourage self thinking and help those students who do not always speak up. This lesson helps them practice micropipetting and loading gels and running gel electrophoresis. This lab also enforces how to make solutions and using other lab equipment in the classroom.
