Roller Coaster Design
This is a 5th grade force and motion lesson plan. It uses roller coasters to help students develop real-life connections to the ideas of motions, and balanced & unbalanced forces. It allows them to develop and create a plan to solve the task given to them as a team; create a roller coaster with at least 2 hills and 1 loop. While following a budget along the way, this project incorporates math and ELA concepts into the classroom.
