Potential and Kinetic Energy: Rollback Can
by Cynthia Hanks
This lesson focuses on kinetic and potential energy and features a rollback can. The can when complete can be rolled away from the student and then returns back to where it started. The purpose is to have students analyze where the potential energy is and when it converts to kinetic energy and then back to potential. You will create your rollback can with a small Pringles can, washers, rubber bands and paper clips. Students can complete an included worksheet and/or make a Flip (formerly Flipgrid) to explain their findings!
