Peter's Chair: An Engineering Challenge
Use the Engineering Design Process to solve Peter's problem! Students will use recycled materials to create their own chair for Peter. After introducing the Engineering Design Process, students will listen to the story "Peter's Chair". They will then identify Peter’s problem and offer solutions. Next, the class will develop criteria for the solution. They will imagine and plan the chair’s design, and then final create, test, and improve the chair.
