Oil Spill Simulation
Students will be working together to clean up an oil spill. They will discover what an oil spill is, what causes it, and what the effects are. The simulation is made using tinfoil baking dishes, plastic ocean animals, feathers, olive oil, and cocoa powder. The lesson will include a video, KWL chart, spill simulation, debrief, and then an exit ticket (fits within a 60 minute block).
