Newton's Rockets Lesson 1 of 4
This lesson plan is part 1 of 4. This lesson focuses on how Newton's Laws apply to rocket launches as well as what forces are present at three different stages of launch. Additional lessons will be over building rockets, launch/data observation, and finally written understanding of Newton's laws in action on rockets.

Students use the engineering design process to create paper rocket protoypes and complete a cost-benefit analysis to help choose the best one.
Students will learn about forces and motion by building a straw rocket. They will measure how far their rocket flies and then build a second rocket to see if they can make it go farther.
This lesson is lesson 3 of 4 so it is designed to be used in conjunction with the two previous lessons. The students will continue using their newly acquired drone flying skills with both DroneBlocks
