Newton's Cradle Design Challenge: Part 1
This is part one of a design challenge where students are asked to brainstorm a device that allows energy to be transferred for as long as possible, similar to a Newton's Cradle. Students use the engineering design process as they begin the initial phases of design. They are challenged to think critically and work collaboratively within a small group.

Students will create flying helicopter models to change the movement and motion by changing different variables. Changing the movement of an object requires a net force to act upon it. This lesson

In this hands-on lesson, students will attempt two builds. Students will identify weaknesses and strengths in both of their structures. They will then evaluate the effectiveness of their builds.

Students will build a propulsion system that can deliver a payload to a given location in this engaging paper rocket engineering lesson. Students think critically and problem solve as they work
