The Moon Radio Wave Tower Challenge
The scenario is that you are heading to the moon to do a year residency program. You desire a “radio tower” to be built so that you can communicate with your friends back on Earth. This Challenge comes with two missions:
Mission #1
You have to learn all about the Electromagnetic Spectrum and how radio waves work so that you can set up your communication tower and get reception from your friends and family from Earth.
Mission #2
You have to construct a “communication tower” with all the necessary supplies. (You will have a limited number of supplies that can fit on the spaceship.)

Students will design and build their own popsicle stick catapults, exploring principles of force, motion, and engineering. This lesson does have a Halloween theme to it, but can be modified is needed.

Students will use science and engineering practices to design and build a parachute out of everyday items. The parachute must be able to carry a metal washer to a specific target on the ground while

Students will apply physics and engineering principles to design and construct a functional mini-golf course using homemade materials.
