Lights, Camera, Action! Part 3
by Taryn Tidwell
Lesson Objective: Students will explore how lighting design can affect the mood evoked during a performance through the use of colors through a “You Be the Lighting Designer” Google Slideshow Project. Students will design, engineer, and act out 3 tableaus (frozen picture scenes) that utilize gel lighting, props, and costumes to convey a desired mood for specific scenes. These pictures will be compiled into a Google Slideshow Presentation that reinforces the use of warm and cool colors choices in relation to lighting design.
