Lesson 2: Thirst, Dharavi a Slum of Mumbai
by Patricia Patchin
In the second lesson in the Thirst set, students will learn about Dharavi, a slum within the city of Mumbai. Economical water scarcity drives the lives of those who reside in Dharavi. Students will create a map representing the physical and economic water scarcity of the world, create an infographic poster representing statistics of water scarcity using Canva, and end with a paper recreation of a section of Dharavi to use when finding the perimeter, area, and volume of different homes created during the project.
