Hydroponic Planting and Design

Students will investigate how plants grow and what they need. They will then be introduced to the idea of hydroponic planting and then be asked to design a hydroponics system of their own using plastic containers, PVC, glue, water pumps, and grow lights. This lesson will take between 3 and 4 days for initial construction, and several weeks to track plant growth. This could be done in combination with another lesson during the measurement phase.
