How Can a Rover Land Safely on Mars?
Students work as engineers using the Engineering Design Process to design and create a parachute that will safely land a "rover" on Mars! This STEM activity uses easy-to-gather materials for parachute creation. This lesson was designed for 5th grade but could be utilized in other settings. It ties together space and physics concepts.
