Hoop Gliders: Day 3
Students will follow the Engineering Design Process to create a hoop glider out of straws and index cards and explore the forces of flight. Students will work on the 4Cs skills as they work together to create the hoop glider and complete flight trials making iterations as needed to meet the success criteria. This is the 3rd lesson in a series of 4. Links to view all lessons and helpful resources are included!

This lesson is part three of four lessons, which culminate in the flight of drones built by the students. Lesson 3: Max Axiom, STEM Adventurer focuses on commercial, scientific, and government drones
Engineers often create small-size models of a new product to test its design. This is especially true with airplanes. Model testing tells engineers how a design responds to different air conditions
